Objectives
Programme
The course provides practical and technological knowledge related to some selected topics of database usage and database application development.
Topics include:
- Oracle system,
- SQL language,
- application development in Java language using client-server architecture,
- XML based application development,
- creation of dynamic web pages using PHP,
- Oracle portal development.
To provide students with solid practical experiences related to the methods presented during the classes and classroom practices of the Databases course.

Oktatási módszertan
Individual preparation for the labs from the specific materials provided by the tutor, then consultation, working on the predefined tasks in the computer laboratory of the university under the supervision of the tutor. The students may finish their tasks and the laboratory report at home as well.

General rules
Requirements:
Each laboratory practice must be completed at least on passed level to get a final practical mark.
The laboratory practices will be graded based on the a) preparation of the student b) activity during the lab c) quality of the laboratory report.
The final practical mark will be calculated as the average of the marks of the different laboratory practices.
Additional possibilities:
Only one laboratory practice can be repeated during the semester if the student failed or missed the lab. There is no way to get the practical mark during the exam's period.
