General rules
Requirements:
During the teaching period of the semester:one mid-term test, which is qualifies for the exam
During the exam period: written examThere is no pre-exam-period exam
An early exam-grade of 5 can be gained by an outstanding mid-term test, but only on the first (regular) mid-term test. Early exam-grade are exempt from the regular exam. The condition for this grade is that the student attended 80 % of the classes and the mid-semester exam is of very high quality.
For the laboratory work the students have to prepare in advance. The competence of students will be checked at the beginning of the lab work. In case of insufficient knowledge the student cannot take part in lab work. The lab work will be graded. The grade includes the preparedness of the student, the performance during the measurements as well as the quality of the measurement report. The laboratory work is not compulsory, however, the points gained there are counted as a part of the exam with a total weight of 5%. An appointment for the laboratory work has to be made in advance before the given deadline.
Additional possibilities:
Mid-term tests can be repeated (if missed or failed) one time during the teaching period of the semester and one time immediately after the teaching period. The possibility of repeating a laboratory work is limited.
